Chol Chnam Thmay Festival
13 Apr 2012 - 15 Apr 2012
The Chol Chnam Thmay ceremony is celebrated by the Khmer ethnic minority people to welcome the New Year, similar to the Khmer New Year.

The Festival is held from 13 to 15 of April. Traditional events during these days include the Mahaskan ceremony procession (pandemic astronomy), fruit incense, up sand mountain holidays, holidays up the mountain rice, Buddha bathing ceremony, and a Requiem for deceased grandparents.

Besides these traditions, old folk games are held such as blind embossing, dropping ducks on the river, boat processions, and dancing of "room-vong".
