Nguyen Trung Truc Commemoration

Nguyen Trung Truc is a hero worshipped by people in six provinces of the country. His shrine is located on the waterfront city of Rach Gia, Kien Giang province.

Every year on days 26, 27, and 28 of August, thousands of people nationwide visit Rach Gia to commemorate him, as he was the spiritual father.

People work together to repair, re-clean the temple, and cook vegetarian dishes to offer to the attending guests. The festival itself has many different activities.

Besides the traditional activities, there are cultural shows, food culture, calligraphy, performances and exhibitions with objects and images of Nguyen Trung Truc in the city of Rach Gia.
